Source hierarchy

Not all sources carry equal weight, and the order below is applied to every claim published here.

1. Primary documents. Regulator registers and notices, the operator's own terms and conditions, bonus terms and payment policy. A clause number is quoted where one exists.
2. Direct observation. What is visibly present on the operator's public pages, labelled as a marketing claim when the terms do not confirm it.
3. Documented user evidence. Complaints and reviews on independent platforms, always attributed and never presented as established fact.
4. Competitor reviews are not a source. They can be read to see what is missing from the market. Nothing is copied from them, because they recycle each other's errors.

A claim found only in a single secondary source is either flagged as unconfirmed or left out. On the WinSpirit casino page, the licence number is a live example: several affiliate pages quote one, they do not agree with each other, none is a regulator record, so no number is printed here.

Honesty about experience

First-person writing on this site means one of two things, and the distinction is deliberate. Either it describes something genuinely done, such as reading a bonus document and counting the excluded titles listed in it, or it is not written in the first person at all.

Precise personal measurements are never invented. If a verification window or a payout time comes from a review platform's testing, the platform is named. If a figure needs a test we did not run, the page says so and leaves the gap visible rather than borrowing someone else's number without naming them. Fact-checking before publication

• Every numeric claim carries a source, a date of checking or a currency marker, and usually all three.
• Figures from third-party databases are kept in the currency that database publishes, because silent conversion is how Australian pages ended up quoting withdrawal ceilings a third off the real number.
• Regulatory dates are taken from the regulator's own notice, never from another review.
• Bonus arithmetic is worked through rather than asserted, so a reader can check the multiplication.

Corrections

Errors get fixed with a dated note, not quietly overwritten. Offshore terms move without announcement, so a page that was accurate in August can be wrong by November, and pretending otherwise helps nobody. Readers who spot a discrepancy are asked to write through the contact page.

Where the regulatory answer is genuinely unsettled, the page says so instead of choosing a confident version and retracting later.

Commercial independence

This site earns commission when a reader opens an account through a link. That is disclosed in full in the affiliate disclosure, and the firewall is simple: no operator sees a page before publication, no commercial arrangement adjusts a score, and no negative finding is removed on request. The scoring weights are fixed and published in how we rate so that any deviation would be visible.

What is out of bounds

• Content aimed at anyone under 18, or presenting gambling as a way to make money.
• Strategy claims implying a player can overcome the house edge.
• Urgency language designed to push a reader into depositing.
• Omitting a known unfavourable clause because it hurts conversion.
